New York
46 Patriots
Despite the strong loyalist ties in New York, thousands of men served in American forces. Acting independently of the loyalist New York Assembly, the Provincial Congress sent delegates to Philadelphia in April 1775. On Sep 15, 1776 British regained control of New York city where they remained until their troops were evacuated in Nov 1783.
